Am Vatertag vergessen – The Game gibt seinen Kindern und seinen Freunden kein Geld mehr
The Game
Normalerweise sprechen Gangsterrapper selten über ihre Gefühle. Nachdem er aber keine Geschenke und nicht einmal Nachrichten zum Vatertag erhalten hat, bricht es nun völlig aus The Game heraus. Der US-Rapper ist stolzer Vater von drei Kindern und hat sich trotz Superstar-Status immer vorbildlich um sie gekümmert. Sein ältester Sohn Harlem Caron hat vor ein paar Tagen seinen Schulabschluss gemacht und ein Stipendium für die University of Oregon erhalten. Und auch um seine 10-Jährige Tochter und seinen 14 Jahre alten Sohn kümmert er sich gut.
Deshalb ist der 41-Jährige nun umso enttäuschter darüber, dass er als Vater nicht zu schätzen gewusst wird. In einem Statement auf Instagram macht er seinem Unmut darüber Luft. Eigener Aussage nach mache er selbst immer alles, um zu Geburtstagen und zum Muttertag da zu sein und sich etwas besonderes auszudenken. Aus diesem Grund schmerz es ihn selbst, dass ihm niemand aus seinem engsten Kreis etwas geschenkt oder auch nur geschrieben hat. Nur sein ältester Sohn hat ihm ein Parfüm geschenkt, worüber er sich sehr gefreut habe. Von anderen dagegen kam überhaupt nichts.
Enttäuschung
Weil er das für inakzeptabel hält, will er aus dieser Erfahrung heraus Konsequenzen ziehen. Der Rapper kümmert sich neben seinen Kindern auch um andere Menschen in seinem Umfeld, selbst um Erwachsene. Seine Hilfe scheint für seine Freunde jedoch so selbstverständlich geworden zu sein, dass sie sich weder bei ihm bedanken, noch an ihn denken. Darum stoppt er sofort sämtliche Unterstützung für diejenigen, die ihn nur ausnutzen, aber nichts für ihn tun. Am Ende will selbst ein Rap-Superstar nur als Vater geliebt werden….
The Game spricht über seine Enttäuschung
„This really cut deep in a n***as soul. Because, I know as a father, the amount of work I put in. Since my first son was born, I know the amount of work that I put in as a father. And even for my younger two, I’ve always been there. So I know who I am as a father. Ain’t nobody tell me that I’m not the type of father that deserves praise, that deserves notice. And I’m not saying, go out, buy a Lamborghini and nothing like that.
But to be on fathers day and really have nothing to show for is just unacceptable. It’s crazy, it’s unacceptable and I’m really not f*cking with it. So, today is the day that, if you’re in my life and you are close to me and I’ve taken care of you and I’ve looked out for you over the years… and you know that you didn’t show up on fathers day with any type of appreciation – today is the day I cut you off.
And it’s nothing personal, you know. Actions scream louder than words and yeah, I’m tired of the disrespect, so I gotta do something about it. I hate to bring it to social media, but there might be other fathers, that might feel unappreciated and who might need to know that they’re not alone.“
